How to Iron Shirts & Blouses
Look sharp at work or play without paying a dry cleaner.
The quickest way to take wrinkles out of clothing is to use a steamer. For a more crisp look, a good iron and ironing board is best and cost less than letting the local cleaners do it.
Before you iron, moisten your clothes beforehand, using a damp sponge or spray bottle. Use a good iron that does not leak.
1. Start with the collar, doing both inside & outside.
2. Do the cuffs (if your top has long sleeves), then work your way up to the shoulder.
3. Move the shoulders to the end of the board.
4. On the body’s front, slide the tip of the iron in between the buttons, then iron from top to bottom. Flip to the back & you’re all done!
For even sharper results, use some spray starch.
